This requires a strong technical understanding of battery powered equipment... and heavy interaction with Vietnam & China-based manufacturers Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies with vendors in Asia (Vietnam & China) Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with vendor partners Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power Monitor market trends, research consumer markets, and competitors' activities shop outs Be creative, shop out the category, identify opportunities for line extension Align the company around the brand's direction, choices, and tactics Collaborate with sales and design team on packaging concepts Review test reports Minimum Requirements needed in order to be successful: BS degree in engineering strongly preferred 5+ years in " Hardgoods" consumer products sourcing, working for an OEM manufacture Strong familiarity with battery powered technologies, materials, sourcing and vendor management Product development experience a plus Strong analytical, negotiating, and networking skills partnered with a creative mind a must Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers Outstanding communication skills Up to date with latest trends and best practices Far East travel (Vietnam & China) 4-5 times per year After 6 pm WeChat collaboration with Vietnam and China vendors Powered by JazzHR
