An onsite Special Education teaching opportunity is available for a full semester at an elementary school in Lakeville, MN. This position focuses on supporting students in a specialized behavior program within a cross-categorical setting. The role requires expertise in behavior strategies and classroom management to help students primarily diagnosed with Emotional Behavioral Disorders, alongside other disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver individualized and group instruction to a caseload of 8-10 students with diverse special education needs, focusing on behavior supportImplement and manage behavior intervention plans and classroom routines effectivelyCollaborate with general education teachers, special education colleagues, and paraprofessionals to ensure cohesive support and schedulingMaintain detailed documentation of student progress and participate in team meetingsDemonstrate excellent attendance and professional reliability throughout the contract periodQualifications:Valid Minnesota Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS) License (optional)Strong knowledge of specialized behavior strategies and instructional techniquesAbility to problem-solve and adapt to students unique learning needsExperience working with both behavioral and cross-categorical special education programsStrong communication and collaboration skillsLocation & Schedule:Onsite at an elementary school in Lakeville, MNFull semester contract from January 5 to June 4, 202637.5 hours per weekThis role is ideal for a dedicated special education professional with a passion for supporting students with behavioral challenges in a structured, team-oriented environment.
