Overview SUMMARY OF POSITION The Calender Operater operates the calender to produce a finished tape in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Obtains daily shift schedule from Calendering/Mixing Shift Manager Checks with Calendering/Mixing Shift Manager for any NSOP Checks operating specifications Verifies recipe on Beta Gauge Checks specification for Corona Treater (if needed) Checks all safety interlocks/guards before start-up Checks top, middle and bottom roll temperatures, and records each hour Monitors Beta Gauge; adjusts weight as needed Monitors adhesive bank Follows “Red Tag” procedures if required Follows all plant housekeeping and safety rules Adjusts the calender Makes preventive maintenance and safety inspections
