Financial Analyst - DSV Air & Sea Inc.

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Regional Financial Shared Service Center in Iselin, New Jersey. This position requires on-site presence.

The Financial Analyst will support the DSV Air & Sea Manager, Business Controller, and Branch Managers, in providing financial insight into their country and local branch results. For month-end close the financial analyst provides operational reconciliation work to the team and ensures financial compliance for a clean audit trail.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, understanding of financial statements, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance colleagues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the business controlling team with accurate, timely, and meaningful financial analysis to influence business decisions; including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and ad-hoc reporting as needed. Working closely with business operations to ensure financial compliance. Supporting the preparation of management reports. Develop financial models and forecasts. Support the budget process. Assist in driving process improvements and streamline financial operations. Aid in the development of policies and procedures to support finance activities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance. At least 3 years' experience in finance. GAAP experience preferred. Knowledge of IFRS is a plus. Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle is a plus. Experience with CargoWise is a plus. Experience working in large organizations is a plus. Experience in freight forwarding and logistics industries is a plus.

COMPETENCIES

Good stakeholder management and communication. Maintaining a level-head under pressure at month, quarter and year end are required, along with positive and professional attitude. Good organization skill & attention to detail, able to plan and meet deadlines with good quality. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures. Flexibility around working hours as needed. Proficiency in MS Office; experienced in Excel. Good with large datasets. Ability to work independently. Fluent in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Reports to the Manager, Business Controller. Work location is in-office in the MetroPark area of Iselin, NJ. This is a fast-paced and fast-growing company.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $62,500 - $84,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
