Come join us Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The Laboratory Supervisor will assist in managing all activities related to performance of laboratory testing in support of the Avenel Construction Materials Testing Laboratory. They will meet agreed upon project deadlines by performing testing; scheduling technicians and managing workload; They will confirm that technicians correctly perform testing, calibrations, and calculations and computations by implementing and maintaining the requirements of the Atlas Quality Management System; and train, coordinate and supervise assigned staff. Works independently, using industry knowledge to solve problems of moderate scope. Will be responsible for daily laboratory activities in the absence of the Laboratory Manager. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership and knowledge of commercial laboratory operations. Requirements Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of experience with laboratory testing of construction materials. 1+ year of experience as a Lab Manager or Supervisor (preferred) Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug and MVR High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree or Higher in Construction Technology, Construction Management or Related Engineering Field (preferred) Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities. Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs ( Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Organization and multi-tasking ability. A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity. Technical Requirements: American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certifications: Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1 or 2 Aggregate/Soils Base Testing Technician Concrete Strength Testing Technician Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 1 or 2 National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET): Construction Materials Testing: Asphalt, Concrete, Soils (Levels I, II, or III) NJSAT Certifications: HMA Plant Technologist Level 1 Other Miscellaneous Qualities: Familiarity with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) ATLAS EEOC Statement
