Solution Architect/Pre-Sale Engineer

Description We are actively seeking a seasoned Solution Architect/Pre-Sale Engineer to join our payment practice team. This role is pivotal in the business development process, including the creation of business proposals, the development of EPAM's offerings, and the finalization of deals. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the EPAM Payment practice team. #LI-AS45 Responsibilities Overseeing activities during solution ideation, design, and implementation Evaluating the business context for solutions, defining vision and requirements, recommending potential options, selecting the optimal option, and developing a roadmap for the chosen solution Breaking down requirements into technical tasks Supervising and guiding development teams Analyzing security protection technologies as needed Consistently collecting and organizing EPAM's technological and business experience for reuse by sales and presales teams Requirements Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in software development At least 1 year experience in a Solution Architect role or similar Comprehensive understanding of coding languages (Java/Kotlin/.NET Core/etc.) Familiarity with payments/cards (PA, PCI DSS) domain Proficiency in SOA, RESTful API design Experience with microservice architecture (including OAuth 2, OpenID, API gateways, microservice monitoring) Knowledge of Clouds (AWS or Azure) Experience with Databases (SQL/NoSQL) Familiarity with ESB and stream-processing software (e.g. Oracle ESB, Microsoft WebSphere, Kafka) Proficiency in Visio/Draw.IO & PowerPoint / Familiarity with diagram notation (BPM, C4, etc.) Effective communication skills Strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent presentation abilities English language proficiency at B2 level or higher Nice to have Knowledge of networking Proficiency in Nix We offer We connect like-minded people : Delivering innovative solutions to industry leaders, making a global impact Enjoyable working environment, whether it is the vibrant office or the comfort of your own home Opportunity to work abroad for up to two months per year Relocation opportunities within our offices in 50+ countries Corporate and social events We invest in your growth : Leadership development, career advising, soft skills and well-being programs Certifications, including GCP, Azure and AWS Unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning, Get Abstract, O'Reilly, Cloud Guru Free English classes with certified teachers We cover it all : Participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan Monetary bonuses for engaging in the referral program Comprehensive medical & family care package Five trust days per year (sick leave without a medical certificate) Benefits package (sports activities, a variety of stores and services)
