Responsibilities

The Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program provides risk review and challenge over the third-party management lifecycle which includes planning, due diligence, contract management, ongoing monitoring, and termination of third-party relationships.

As a senior member of the team, the TPR Validation Manager is a critical role in the TPRM framework. The role is responsible for the review and challenge of all aspects surrounding the third-party engagement for the procurement of products and services and the ongoing monitoring of both the third parties themselves as well as the control environment surrounding the delivery of the services. The responsibility includes final approval on behalf of new vendor engagements as well as the proper oversight, and the certification of same, over the ongoing monitoring activities of existing engagements.

In that capacity, the TPR VM plays a critical role in the risk oversight chain of control and allows the framework to be in compliance with regulatory guidance and to be on par with market practices. The role will interact and coordinate with all levels of management both locally, throughout the Americas as well as globally as the scope of the department expands both in terms of subject and geographic coverage.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Analysis of new engagements, and, following formal delegation, approval of assigned engagement classes which clears the way for contract execution Ensuring that the necessary due diligence is conducted on both new and existing engagements Review documentation and provide analysis and recommendations to the management team Provide review and challenge over the associated Subject Matter Expert due diligence surrounding engagements Identification of weaknesses in the control environment surrounding engagements or due diligence Participate in onsite inspection of vendor sites as required Monitor issues identified by the framwork's workflow Monitor and advance remediation plans emerging in response to issues identified Work with the workflow and reporting staff to ensure that bottlenecks are mitigated and issues are well escalated. Escalate risks to the department head Facilitate review and challenge sessions with the business areas and the SME areas Contribute to committee meeting and other venue presentation material as required Participate in the TPRM technology solution workflow Ensure proper documentation is obtained and analyzed for engagement, with an emphasis on critical engagements. Identify and collaborate with internal groups with outsourcing and vendor oversight responsibilities to reduce duplication of effort and ensure overall compliance with the program. Other duties as requested by management

COMPETENCIES
Required:

Thorough knowledge and experience in the Third-Party Risk Management discipline Thorough understanding and experience in the field of risk management Professional comportment and excellent communication and presentation skills applicable to all levels of the organization Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability in multi-tasking on complex projects Ability to work effectively on an individual level, as well as partner with others as part of a team
 

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required:

Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint  Experience with the RSA Archer platform is desired (or comparable) Advanced Excel (Macros)

JAVA / JavaScript

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required:

3 years of experience on the RSA Archer platform or equivalent. Archer certification preferable. Functional experience with writing SQL and HTML scripts Functional experience with Java / JavaScript development is a desired but not mandatory Functional experience with QlikView or comparable data mining/reporting tool. Exposure to or experience in data quality initiatives
