Job Description
Description of Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for training employees in Network Administration. Provides training and instruction on efficient use of network technologies. Researches and provides advice on the migration of new technologies. Responsible for creating and maintaining the departmental Disaster Recovery model. Responsible for maintaining WAN/LAN. Monitors WAN/LAN traffic and recommends upgrades. Ensures security compliance. Responsible for maintaining all data center servers, storage devices, and other equipment. Responsible for the recommendation, budgeting, and purchasing of new equipment and systems. Responsible for assisting with EHR/Practice Management System and other production systems. Responsible for administration of the CISCO Network equipment, VoIP, telecommunications, LAN/WAN, and security systems. Performs network hardware installations, modifications, monitoring, diagnostics, problem resolutions, design, implementation, and administration of VoIP administration. Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment related to WAN/LAN and telecommunications. Performs other duties as assigned.Description of Primary Attributes
Professional & Technical Knowledge:
Possesses specific advanced knowledge skills, including well developed technical writing and editing skills, strong verbal communications and public speaking skills, computational, computer and technical skills, and mathematical knowledge acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree program with a recognized major or a comparable level of business/or medical industry acumen. Maintains current knowledge of security and HIPAA compliance throughout telecommunications, WAN/LAN, Practice Management, and EHR systems. Possesses experience with the administration of telecommunications systems, administration of wide area network systems, VoIP, UNIX, LINUX, CISCO, TCP/IP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows // Server and Active Directory.Technical Skills:
Ability to create highly complex documents in Microsoft Word, including linking multiple files and embedding objects linked to other documents. Ability to use advanced functions of Microsoft Excel, such as to create and manage databases, including creating standardized reports, or link multiple worksheets and workbooks. Ability to develop sophisticated presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the use of embedded objects, transitions and other elements.Licenses & Certifications:
CompTIA, MCSA, or CCNA certifications or equivalent work experience.Communications Skills:
Job duties require the compilation and analysis of information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation.
