Ayden Healthcare of Toledo is currently seeking an Activities Assistant Part Time Evenings for our Long Term Care Facility. Position Summary:The Activity Assistant assists the Activity Director to provide group and individual activities for the residents. Duties will involve personal contact with a varying resident population and a varied work schedule that will include some weekends, evening and holidays. Tasks also will involve record keeping, attention to the environment, use of supplies and equipment and maintenance of storage areas. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Preference is given to persons with experience in long term setting and/or certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant. Verbal and writing abilities necessary to communicate and work effectively with various levels of staff, residents, family members and the public. Motor coordination and manual dexterity are required to lead activity programming. Ability to read, understand, and follow activity directions and work assignments. Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during an emergency situation. Must be patient and tolerate toward residents, family members and co-workers. Ability to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
