Your Role:

As a COTA, you'll play a crucial role in providing engaging and effective occupational therapy to children in both school and clinic settings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized occupational therapy to children to help them achieve their functional goals. You will use evidence-based practices to design and implement therapy sessions that address each child's unique needs.

  • Collaborating with teachers, families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Your input and teamwork will be essential in creating comprehensive and holistic care plans.

  • Conducting therapy sessions, following treatment plans developed by the supervising OT, and maintaining organized and accurate documentation. Keeping detailed records ensures that progress is tracked and interventions are adjusted as needed.

  • Working closely with school staff to ensure seamless integration of therapeutic interventions within the educational setting. Your role will help bridge the gap between therapy and education, promoting overall success for the child.

  • Maintaining 23-25 billable hours per week, ensuring a balance between school and clinic responsibilities to provide comprehensive care to our clients. This schedule allows you to have a consistent workload and make a significant impact.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated COTA who meets the following qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Valid state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Maryland or DC.

  • A passion for helping children achieve their functional goals and a commitment to making a positive impact in their lives. Your enthusiasm and dedication will be key to building strong therapeutic relationships.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills that enable effective collaboration with a diverse team of professionals. Communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

As part of your role, you will be expected to:

  • Maintain a minimum of 23-25 billable hours per week, working in both school and clinic settings to provide comprehensive and effective care to our clients. This expectation ensures that you have a consistent and manageable workload.
