Description The Accounts Receivable Specialis t at Simms will work with our specialty customers to help facilitate timely and efficient collection of funds and payment application. To be successful, you should be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in an organized way, and be able to dive into the details, problem solve, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties. The Finance Department at Simms is made up of a passionate group of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts who take pride in our hard work, success, and the part we play in our overarching goal - inspiring the world to fish. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is based out of our Bozeman headquarters. As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will have an opportunity to: Own accounts receivable for specialty customer accounts. Maintain good relationships with dealers and sales representatives to facilitate collection of receivables. Manage order release for accounts on finance holds. Assist dealer services with logo channel order posting and invoicing. Post daily receivable entries and DTC cash receipts journals. Evaluate the collection environment to address potential risk exposure You have: Previous work experience and detailed knowledge of AR Processes. Strong computer skills/working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Attention to Detail – Aware of all tasks & responsibilities. Does not let things slip through the cracks. Analytical Skills – Ability to efficiently work with numbers, determine meaning from quantitative figures to ensure accuracy of data. Organization & Planning – Ability to prioritize tasks and organize responsibilities to meet deadlines. Flexibility/Adaptability – Ability to adjust quickly to new priority assignments or issues that come to light. Communication – Able to communicate findings/issues/resolutions with all effected parties. Honesty/Integrity – Upholds the creditability of the Finance Department and provides a positive image of the department to the rest of the company. Properly handles the responsibilities of one working in the accounting field. Professional Skepticism – Uses a questioning mind to critically assess the appropriateness and sufficiency of information. You might have: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field of study. Previous work experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems. Passion for fishing/the outdoors encouraged. Pay Range: $21.73 - $30.58 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
