Description $16.50-$20.00 per hourUnder both the Food Service Manager and Store Manager Supervision, the DELI CLERK performs the following duties:TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide excellent customer servicePackage, weigh, and price items ordered by the customers from the deli caseMaintain and rotate products and displays to avoid damages or spoilageSet up deli case – re-bowl dishes as needed, put out fresh ingredientsLabel products with appropriate dates and pricesRemove expired product and discard according to store proceduresRestock shelves and deli case, cups cutlery, & other supplies from stock roomPrepare special orders submitted by customers and ready for them when they arriveSample items with customers to increase salesRead and understand recipe’s in EnglishMaintain the store facility clean, neat and orderlyShare new ideas to management that would improve the departmentInteract with vendorsAssist in other duties as assignedQUALIFICATION GUIDELINESAny combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:Training/Education: A High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificateExperience: Previous customer experience is a plusKnowledge of: Customer service techniquesSimple arithmetical calculationsEnglish language (read, write, speak)Ability to: Read, comprehend and relate product knowledge to customers in an understandable mannerWork in an accurate manner in a fast-paced environmentOrder, stock, face and price conductWork in a team with those contacted in the course of workAssist customers promptlyCommunicate orally and in writing with supervisors, co-workers and customersPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions: Lift bowls of prepared food, up to 25 lbs. from 24” to 36” ConstantlyLift, carry, push, pull 50 lbs. oftenCarry bowls and plates of food and beverage up to 50 ft.Push and Pull Cart and DollyBe able to stand constantly for entire shiftSpecial Requirements: Must be available to work various shifts as needed
