Material Handler Position SummaryD Shift (6 PM - 6 AM 2-2-3 schedule)This position is 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky.Catalent’s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. With 28 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in industry-leading Glatt technology. The Material Handler is responsible for both supporting and maintaining all aspects of warehouse operations, including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving and warehouse equipment maintenance. The Material Handler is also responsible for controlling the movement and proper storage of material to and from production by item and lot number and coordinating the movement of raw material deliveries and finished goods. The RoleOperate all equipment related to warehouse activities – this includes, but is not limited to, propane gas or electric powered stand-up or sit-down industrial forklifts to push, pull, lift, stack, or move productsComplete production material request and pick list forms in an accurate manner and within 90 minutes of receipt of requestDistribute and store material (finished good, work in process, raw material) and product within the company specified guidelinesUnderstand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures related to the operation of the warehouse and the siteComplete material transactions (via) JD Edward 9.1 to verify material quantity, expiration date, location, and current statusReturn materials from production to the proper location before the shift end to allow for accuracy and availability for the next manufacturing campaignOperate stretch wrap machine and secure pallet load to palletLoading/or unload all trailer loads utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety practicesOther duties as assigned.The CandidateHS Diploma/GED Required.1+ year of experience in a warehouse environment required.Ability to safely operate various types of equipment related to warehouse operations, e.g., electric powered stand-up or sit-down industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and turret trucksIndividual may be required to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
