Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician – 3rd ShiftAllmed Benefits: Vision Insurance, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and 401(k)Pay Rate: $22/hr (Paid Weekly)Work Location: Samuel Morse Dr Columbia, MD 21046Position Summary:The Pharmacy Floor Technician plays a key role in supporting daily pharmacy operations, ensuring prescriptions are accurately prepared, labeled, and ready for final pharmacist verification. This role works in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside pharmacists, technicians, and clerks to maintain efficient workflow and timely prescription fulfillment while adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.Schedule:Rotation every other weekend:3rd Shift: Starts around 9 PM–10 PM.Open to 4-day, 10-hour shift schedules if neededOvertime and weekend work are not typically required but may occasionally be necessary to meet prescription release deadlinesKey Responsibilities:Accurately and efficiently fill daily prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacistPick, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verificationAssist in processing returned medications according to company proceduresPre-pack frequently ordered medications, label, and store as needed during low-volume periodsPull medications from shelving and storage areas, ensuring proper handling and organizationApply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy verificationNotify pharmacists of any discrepancies or scanning issuesMaintain clean and organized workstations, restocking supplies as neededFollow all HIPAA, safety, and regulatory requirementsQualifications:Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentClear and active Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy (MDBOP)Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in EnglishStrong attention to detail and ability to work at a consistent, moderate pacePreferred Qualifications:Prior experience as a pharmacy technician (retail or long-term care setting preferred)Physical Demands:May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the shiftAbility to work 7–10 hours per day and occasionally lift up to 25 poundsManual dexterity to operate scanning and labeling equipmentVisual acuity for reading fine print, color differentiation, and accuracy verificationMust be able to hear normal voice communication in a busy environment
