We’re looking for a dependable Class B Lead Driver to join our team and lead daily transportation operations. The Class B Delivery Truck Driver within our organization is responsible for the transportation of products, proficiently operating commercial vehicles and executing safe loading/unloading procedures at both customer and company sites. In strict adherence to safety regulations, the Class B Driver consistently upholds effective communication with management. Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager/ Supervisor, this position will also serve as a point of contact among Class B drivers, supporting leadership, coordination, mentoring, and operational efficiency. the Class B Delivery Driver guarantees the secure and efficient delivery of products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Represents the company’s core values. Maintains a positive attitude and is an initiator for continuous improvement.Follow designated routes and schedules (to and from Jefferson, GA daily)Restock products at delivery locations.Perform inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy.Conduct product quality checks, remove poor-quality items and account for discrepancies.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and inventory adjustments.Serves as a point of contact among Class B drivers, supporting leadership, coordination, mentoring, and operational efficiency. Product Delivery: Efficiently pick up and deliver the company's products from plants and warehouses to distribution centers and grocery stores using refrigerated trucks. Safely operate commercial vehicles over intercity routes, spanning multiple states. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure complete and accurate Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, whether electronic or manual, as required. Maintain company vehicle by submitting Maintenance Defects reports and reconcile with the appropriate company representative. Obtain and submit receipts, bills of lading, and signatures for delivered goods promptly.  Loading and Unloading: Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions, ensuring proper vehicle and loading equipment alignment. Load and unload products by hand, utilizing hand carts and pallet jacks to prevent damage and ensure load stability. Break down delivery loads when necessary, maintaining product standards and safety. Route Management: Deliver products within the assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately inform the management team of any deviations from the schedule. Safety and Equipment Operation: Safely operate all assigned equipment, including hand carts, pallets, load bars, and personal protective equipment. Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies. Warehouse and Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment inside and outside the truck. Assist in ensuring sanitary conditions in warehouses and yards to comply with safety regulations. Returns and Additional Responsibilities: Handle damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork. Pick up raw materials (boxes and packaging materials) as needed. Training and Communication: Attend training sessions and company meetings for additional training and to stay updated on Department of Transportation and other regulations. Obtain authorization for Lumper services, if needed, from the Transportation Department or site General Manager. Safety Reporting: Report all observed safety concerns promptly to the Transportation Supervisor. Regulatory Adherence: Adhere to all Department of Transportation requirements/regulations, protocols for Food Safety, and Soli Organic' policies and procedures.Additional Tasks: Transport bulk containers (totes) as required. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor or another member of the management team. Other duties as assigned Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICIATIONS:Willingness to support and promote company core values (Respect for All Individuals, Customer Obsession and Win as One Team)High school diploma or GED diploma or equivalent job experienceMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have a valid CDL B license in good standingMust have a minimum of 1-year verifiable commercial truck driving experienceMust be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overnight deliveries as requiredMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMust have basic English proficiency; bi-lingual, English and Spanish preferredMust be able to perform basic math; basic computer and keyboarding skills preferred Minimum requirements on driving record: Moving Violations/Traffic Citations – no more than 3 in the last 3 years Preventable Accidents (chargeable or not) – no more than 2 in the last 3 years No DUI/DWIs or reckless driving charges in the last 2 years Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including ability to lift 60 lbs.Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulationsMust have a valid DOT medical cardAble to provide DOT Clearinghouse consent
