Litigation Paralegal

Our client is a leading civil and consumer rights law firm in the east bay. If you are a Litigation Paralegal who finds fulfillment in working to help individuals get their day in court then this could be the perfect position for you Our client is searching for a Litigation Paralegal to support the firms busy class action practice. The Litigation Paralegal can be located in the East Bay or Los Angeles. Responsibilities: Draft various discovery documents, pleadings and prepare binders. Proofread, finalize and assemble all motions and other legal documents Responsible for all filings with the court, mainly in federal court Drafting and sending correspondence, proofreading, copying, etc. Legal research using Westlaw and internet, cite checking briefs.  Review and index document productions, bates stamping and redacting of documents Assist in preparation of depositions, mediations, hearings, trial and arbitration. Make travel arrangements and manage calendar by scheduling depositions, appointments, etc. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal Must have Plaintiff side employment experience. Strong MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills Able to format pleadings and briefs in MS Word, TOA/TOC's Experience e-filing in federal courts Knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures Knowledge of Westlaw, SharePoint, Relativity, and CaseFleet a plus Salary: Up to 95K, maybe flexible depending on years of experience.
