Primary Accountabilities The day-to-day duties of this role include: Performing work on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Diagnosing repairs needed Test-drive vehicles, test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle diesel automotive systems including: Engine Transmission Electrical steering Suspension Brakes Air conditioning, etc. Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers are informed if any additional service is needed Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner Keeps shop area neat and clean Diesel Journeyman Service Technician Qualifications 2+ years of Service Technician experience High school diploma or equivalent, ASE certification preferred B level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair Dexterity, excellent hand-eye coordination Diesel mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Basic computer competencies Excellent customer service skills, positive, friendly attitude, with an eagerness to improve Enjoy working in a dynamic environment Ability to collaborate with other team members effectively Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications Ability to lift 50 lbs.and work on your feet for extended periods of time Valid driver's license and clean driving record Benefits and Perks Employee discount Paid training ASE certification reimbursement Medical Dental Health Savings Account Life insurance AD&D insurance Short-term disability insurance Long-term disability insurance 401(k) and Roth 401(k) with employer matching contribution Job Type: Full-time (Monday thru Saturday)
