We have a seasonal project at our Warrendale, PA office to help our Print Shop meet a strict deadline for this coming January. This opportunity will be six to seven days a week, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and will last from January 2, 2025 - January 31, 2025.The base rate of pay will be $18.00/hr and at the completion of the project, you will have the opportunity to earn UP TO a $2,000 bonus (dependant on results and a few additional factors).Summary of This RoleResponsible for set-up, adjusting, and operating sheet fed lithographic press in an efficient, safe and cost effective manner. Performs all make ready tasks such as hanging plates, verifying correct positioning of images and adjusting register. Makes necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments to meet client specifications. Cleans, lubricates, and maintains press. Makes minor repairs and performs periodic maintenance.What Part Will You Play?Produces single color and occasionally multi-color reproductions for press Make Ready to determine exact plate alignment and image position on sheet prior to production. Learns to evaluate test copy and determine color and press adjusts needed to meet production standards and accurately reproduce the contract proof/sample.Initiates and completes single color and occasionally multi-color press operation, learns to determine needed in-production press adjustments (ink distribution, fountain solutions, press lay, sheet travel/vacuum) while monitoring for defects and color match consistency throughout the production cycle.Learns to periodically perform a visual and tactile evaluation of work during production to ensure compliance with all client specifications, and adherence to procedure and/or process requirements. Notifies more experienced Press Operator and/or management of detected issues.Learns techniques necessary for Process Printing and Pantone Matching System color print jobs.Documents material usage/scrap, total production time and other cost related information documentation required to track cost and create client billing.What Are We Looking For in This Role?Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentTypically No Relevant Experience Required2 years production experience.Preferred QualificationsPrefer printing production experience.
