The attorney would handle a pre-litigation personal injury caseload of approximately 110 cases. In this role, the attorney is not expected to manage people. An attorney in this role needs to be highly organized and needs to work in a very efficient manner and is expected to be on top of all their cases and to drive them forward while working with the Case Manager assigned to each case. The duties are as follows: Handle a personal injury caseload of approximately 110 pre-litigation cases. This case load will be grown over time starting with about twenty cases, but I would hope to have them at 110 within six weeks. We do not "flip" cases, we work cases in a very methodical way, hire lots of experts, and need to have significant monthly contact with each client. Meet a monthly settlements KPI of $500,000 minimum. This will require them to have monthly conversations with clients about their injuries, medical status, and medical care. This is significantly more than simply client contact. Our attorneys are required to truly medically manage clients. This requires in-depth client conversations to identify the medical specialists that a client needs to see, arranging those referrals, and then staying connected to the client so we know that the client went to those appointments. This attorney needs to be able to connect with people (clients, adjusters) because I believe this is a key to being able to persuade others. This attorney needs to be competitive and must be driven to win. This attorney needs to want to beat not only the other side, but also the other attorneys within the office. But all of this must be in a positive manner with a team first perspective. This attorney needs to work well from a team perspective. Although we want our lawyers to be interested in his/her individual success, we have a team approach to valuing cases, to deciding what cases we will litigate, and all trial work is done as a team. The attorney works well independently and shows initiativeThis attorney will need to move quickly and have the ability to manage many things at once. The attorney must be a positive, happy person overall and must be a team player with a company first attitude.
