Lloyd Staffing is partnering with a leading engineering consulting firm to identify a mid-level Electrical Design Engineer for their growing Power & Infrastructure division. This group specializes in cutting-edge energy solutions, including microgrids, distributed generation, and grid-edge electrical systems.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact infrastructure projects and play a role in the future of sustainable energy design.What You’ll Do:Design and engineer electrical infrastructure systems for grid-connected generation (solar, BESS, combustion).Produce single-line diagrams, conduit layouts, and specifications.Perform studies and modeling: load flow, arc flash, grounding, relay coordination, etc.Assist in equipment evaluations, field surveys, and construction oversight.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on multi-disciplinary projects.What You’ll Need:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).5–10 years of progressive engineering experience in power systems, infrastructure, or distributed generation.Strong knowledge of HV/MV substations, grid interconnections, and switchgear.Experience with distributed energy systems: internal combustion, solar PV, battery storage.Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit a plus).Familiar with electrical modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or HOMER.Experience preparing relay coordination studies, arc flash assessments, and technical reports.Ability to interpret and apply NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and local codes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to draft proposals, reports, and client correspondence in English.Capable of managing project timelines and resources independently.Perks & Benefits:Medical, dental, life, and disability insurance401(k) matchGenerous PTO & paid holidaysFlexible hours + half-day Fridays in summerCareer growth opportunities within a respected firmIf you're looking to work on energy-forward projects with a collaborative team, this could be the right next move.
