Primarily responsible for providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff. Will ensure compliance with all regulations.Among the key duties of this position are the following: Supervises staff on a daily basis for an assigned shift, providing administrative and clinical direction. Provides clinical/administration coverage of the unit daily operations for assigned shift. Effectively contributes to and supports an environment that respects and enhances the individual, their expressed choices and preferences, and that enhances the positive self image of consumer/patients and staff. Completes all documentation within prescribed timeframe. Monitors staff compliance with all documentation requirements on a consistent basis via documentation reports. As required by individual program, assumes direct care responsibilities for consumer/patients and provides individual, group, family supportive counseling, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and case management services as clinically indicated. Demonstrates knowledge of professional standards and practices in the field of mental health and rehabilitative services. Maintains knowledge of trends and development in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills, and maintain best practices.
