You will assist with X-rays, room prep, sterilization, patient flow, and backfill chairside support when needed.This role is perfect for someone who loves organization, teamwork, and building strong relationships with patients and the clinical team.Why Private Practice Is Better Than a Corporate OfficeYou work with one doctor and one consistent team instead of rotating between multiple providers.You have a predictable schedule and a calmer work environmentThere are no high-pressure production quotas or aggressive sales targets.You can educate patients, support treatment acceptance, and build trust without corporate upsell pressure.You have time to perform quality clinical work, not rushed chairside turnover.You develop real patient relationships that make your work meaningful.Your input, ideas, and clinical judgment are seen and respected by the doctorYou join a stable, supportive team where you can grow, feel valued, and contribute long-term.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities are aligned with the practice’s internal Dental Assistant Training & Procedure Manual standards.Hygiene SupportAssist hygienists with room setup and breakdown.Perform perio charting as needed.Assist with patient seating, medical history updates, and blood pressure.Capture accurate intraoral and extraoral radiographs.Polish teeth when permitted and per office protocol.Patient Flow and CommunicationHelp keep the hygiene schedule on time.Escort patients in and out of operatories.Support patient comfort and answer basic questions confidently.Document notes in Dentrix accurately.Sterilization and Infection ControlMaintain sterilization and instrument rotation.Follow OSHA guidelines for PPE, disinfection, and room preparation.Keep hygiene operatories stocked and organized.Backfill Clinical SupportAssist dental assistants when the schedule is busy or if someone is out.Help with setup for basic restorative procedures when needed.Support lab case tracking, operatory organization, and post-op care routines.Team and Office SupportCommunicate clearly with the doctor, hygienists, and admin team.Stay proactive and help wherever needed during downtime.Maintain a friendly, professional atmosphere for patients and coworkers.RequirementsWho You AreYou’ll be a strong fit if you are:Experienced dental or hygiene assistant preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.Comfortable with X-rays, charting, and supporting hygienists.Organized, dependable, and efficient with room setup and sterilization.Friendly communicator who enjoys patient interaction.Calm, positive, and able to multitask on busy clinic days.Team oriented and willing to jump in wherever needed.BenefitsCompensation & BenefitsThe practice offers a stable, long-term career environment and provides:2% 401(k) matchLife insurance1 week PTO after 1 year of employment2 weeks PTO after 5 years of serviceContinuing education stipendScrub allowanceBenefits are discussed in detail during the interview process.
