Position Summary Netlink is actively seeking a US-based IT Infrastructure and Data Center Specialist possessing 8+ years of experience to provide support for global site consolidations across enterprise IT environments. This position will primarily involve analyzing and migrating infrastructure from various sites across North America and will entail close collaboration with teams in the APAC and EMEA regions. The specialist will conduct detailed technical assessments, contribute to consolidation planning, and lead execution efforts related to workload migration, virtualization, and optimization. Essential Duties 1. IT Infrastructure, Data Center Assessment & Data Collection: Distribute and manage technical questionnaires to assigned site contacts Collect infrastructure data including: Server/workstation inventory Hardware specifications Lease timelines and current operational roles Network latency sensitivities Third-party dependencies Conduct virtual interviews with site-level IT and engineering personnel to crossvalidate collected data 2. Analysis & Planning Support: Perform critical infrastructure analysis to support strategic consolidation decisions Assist internal teams with creating phased consolidation plans, including: Sunset/migration timelines Virtualization models (vCloud, vBench, etc.) Transition strategies for high-performance and latency-sensitive applications Contribute to technical design reviews and risk analysis 3. Execution Support: Coordinate with internal teams during the execution phase Lead technical migration activities: Workload migration from physical to virtual systems Load balancing across global sites Transition to centralized servers or VDI environments Provide architectural support and hands-on technical assistance during proof-ofconcept and configuration phases Qualifications & Experience Required 8+ years in IT infrastructure & Data center operations, systems operations, or enterprise migration projects Strong background in infrastructure discovery, planning, and execution Experience in workload virtualization, VDI, VMware, and hybrid infrastructure environments Familiarity with technical documentation, change control, and capacity planning Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple regions and time zones Preferred Skills Prior experience in multi-site IT infrastructure and Data center consolidation projects for software development or simulation teams Familiarity with server and storage lifecycle management Working knowledge of latency and performance optimization in globally distributed environments Other Duties Prior experience in multi-site IT infrastructure and Data center consolidation projects for software development or simulation teams Reports to: Director, Infrastructure Operations – Global Infrastructure Transformation Length of Project: 6 – 12 Months (can be extended) Travel: Visits to client local offices and the Data center sites
