Job Summary The Student Assistant will support the Department of First and Second-Year Experience as a Flight Team Leader on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026. Flight Team Leaders will work closely with the Graduate Assistants and staff in the Office of First and Second Year Experience to support administrative and logistical coordination of the Flight Leader Program. This includes assisting with training, supervision, and mentorship of Flight Leaders.Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Executes all duties and expectations of a Flight Leader in supporting the instruction of one section of FLYT 1001 Assists with the planning and delivery of Flight Leader Training beginning in spring 2025 Supports their assigned Graduate Assistant Supervisor with the planning and delivery of weekly/bi-weekly Flight Leader Meetings Communicates with Flight Leaders regarding program expectations, deadlines, training expectations, and leadership development Additional assistance/activities as requested by the Office of First and Second Year ExperienceSupport the staff within the Office of First and Second Year Experience by facilitating training, assisting with supervision, and offering guidance to the Flight Leaders.Shift SpecificsUp to 15 hours per weekFlexible with schedule of availability Required Qualifications Educational RequirementsMust be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
