Job Purpose Responsible for filling customer orders accurately and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets BG Products standards for safety, quality, and productivity. Duties & Responsibilities · Adheres to company polices and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times. · Load materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks and shelves, or vehicles, such as trucks.· Efficiently pick customers’ orders for shipment using Center-Riders, Reach Trucks, and Forklifts while ensuring that the correct number and type of product has been selected; ensure proper signage on orders.· Maintain accurate bin transfers and exhibits inventory awareness; communicates shortages to Shipping Supervisor or the Team lead.· Maintain minimum of 1700-line items picked per month and assists others as needed; accuracy kept within the BG Error Policy guidelines.· Ensure product to be shipped meets BG Quality criteria; maintains awareness of this throughout regular warehouse activities.· Exhibit FIFO awareness throughout regular warehouse activities.· Practice stable stacking patters for outbound shipments; ensure pallet integrity during shipment.· Maintain awareness of all special shipment instructions for orders; Distributor, LTL, Truckload or other requirements as needed.· Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout warehouse.· Stack and pile materials, such as pallets, as needed.· Inspect work areas, tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions; follow up with necessary repairs and resolution.· Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practice.· Perform all assigned job tasks using the RDT and the WMS.· Work overtime as needed.· Must follow strict safety rules.· Other duties as needed or assigned.Qualifications High school graduate or GED preferred. Two (2) years material handler/warehouse experience strongly preferred. Certified Forklift Operator preferred.
