Core Competencies: Speak conversational EnglishAnticipate need and suggestively sell in all areas especially drinks, desserts and catering/banquet options whenever appropriateAble to multi-task and work efficiently, effectively, accurately and quicklyMaintain a positive attitude in accordance with ourProvide a professional customer service experience to customers Essential Job Functions: Efficiently, accurately and quickly use a computer monitor to select food items, ring up sales, process electronic or currency payments while maintaining an uninterrupted flow of customer linesFollow all cash handling and cashier procedures and all opening and closing cashier checklists including, but not limited to, use of counterfeit pens for 50 and 100 dollar bills and maintaining 360° awareness of surroundings, assigned area and in all directionsUse basic mathematical skills to count back changePolitely and professionally communicate with customers while ringing up their orderObserve food portions and substandard food while ringing up customers and discreetly and professionally report to management.Clean assigned area using restaurant issued cleaning supplies. Eliminate clutter.Anticipate need for support and call for assistance when appropriate.Have complete knowledge of food items presented for the day to respond to inquiries, describe new or promotional items, value plates, kid's plates, etc.Other Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Ensure all customers have silverware and inform customers where condiments can be obtained (sweetener, straws, etc.).Confirm the food item for customers who have table tents through the Lead Expeditor or customer and ring accordingly.Set-up, maintain and properly put away or dispose of impulse items and condiments within your assigned area and other registers. Track and inform management of waste.Maintain void/discount and credit card envelopes for cash drawer assigned.Maintain attendance in accordance with employee handbook.Other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.General Physical Demands for the Position:Cashiers will regularly stand for long periods of time, type, bend, stoop, turn, lift, talk, walk, walk on uneven ground and may lift up to thirty (30) pounds.
