Director, Program Management Excellence

Job Description: The Program Management Excellence (PMX) team within the ISR Sector is looking to fill a PMX role for the a large international program. The successful candidate should be an experienced Program Manager who is well-versed in People, Process, and Tools best practices within the Aerospace & Defense industry. This role will serve as the single point of functional program management execution for the international AEW&C programs. The candidate will work effectively with the other members of the ISR PMX staff, functional partners and the sector program teams. Essential Functions: Drive predictable program execution across Division ProgramsOwn Program Performance Analysis / Reporting for the portfolioPartner with programs to ensure executable baseline plans (cost and schedule)Drive R&O best practices into execution across all programs for the DivisionManage Division PM trainingProgram Leadership Team (PLT) Certification programProgram Management (RPM) rotational programCoordination of training requirements and training instruction for program teamsTraining metricsOrganize Gate and Independent Reviews for the DivisionOwn implementation of tools across the DivisionOpportunity & Risk RegisterSchedule Metrics Analysis & Reporting Tool (SMART)Program Health Dashboard (PHD) & Automated Program Review Template (PRT)Support various sector and division reviewsEnsure appropriate PMO staffing for program proposals, baseline activities, and executionEnforce Program Management policy and process requirementsCoordinates and adjudicates PMX support prioritiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience or post-graduate degree and 13 years of experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance Demonstrated program management, proposal management, program planning, and EVMS experienceDemonstrated ability to present to executives/management on important topicsDemonstrated ability to work independently, identify problems and propose solutionsDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically-disbursed teamsAbility to Travel – 25%Preferred Additional Skills:Prior experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L)Prior experience providing instructional training to program team(s)Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.Knowledge of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP)#LI-AM2L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
