Senior Systems Administrator temp position to full-time employee after a period of 6-9 months Phoenix, AZ, 85012 Hybrid/ Remote (Check It's primarily remote, but they will need to come into the office as needed, as well as for the first three days of their employmen) Position Description : The position duties include: Working closely with other IT teams including Information Security, Service Desk, Quality Assurance, Production Support and product vendors to plan, deploy and sustain a stable, highly performing and available infrastructure and application environment. Ownership/oversight and hands-on planning, deployment and operational upkeep of ASRS' infrastructure and applications. Proactive monitoring, identification and resolution of the most complex infrastructure and application problems. Promoting and advancing team efficiencies and capabilities through DevOps/automation improvements. Additionally and as needed: Maintain timely, accurate and complete documentation and desk procedures for systems and team functions. Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities. Administration and management of: Multi-tiered COTS applications Public-cloud services Physical and virtual servers Mid-tier storage arrays and SAN Security appliances Active directory and group policy Secure remote access, remote desktop/VDI Adherence to Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change Management processes and controls. Perform IT Service Management functions including creating tickets, communicating directly with users/IT staff, fielding incident escalations, performing troubleshooting operations and thoroughly documenting progress/status. ASRS' intent is to transition this temp position to full-time employee after a period of 6-9 months. Long-term temporary status is not an option. Skills Required Multi-tiered COTS applications Public-cloud services Physical and virtual servers Thorough understanding of multi-tiered application architecture. Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems. Technical knowledge of Linux Server operating systems. Ability to automate operational tasks and routines using PowerShell and/or other automation platforms/methods. Proven customer service skills and ability to work professionally and effectively with all levels of staff. Proven organizational skills.
