We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator/Project Manager for our St Louis, MO location. The Estimator/Project Manager role is responsible for estimating, scheduling, operating and managing projects from cradle to grave. The Estimator/Project Manager ensures that all associated work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner, in accordance with applicable plans and specifications, company policies and procedures along with sound roofing practices. The Project Manager reports to the Operating Unit President. Primary Responsibilities: Understand the contract to ensure the Company’s responsibilities and scope of the workResponsible for catching deviations from the specifications and plans as it relates to scope, contract and scheduleGenerate estimates from blueprint drawings, specifications, field notes, field drawings, and actual field inspectionsObtain all necessary information, such as: field inspections, measurements, photographs, and sketches required to provide accurate customer pricingSubmit proposals to customersCommunicate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors and property managersAttend/conduct all weekly meetings in conjunctions with project start-up, pre-bid, sales, job progressGenerate project budgets, submittals, equipment requirements, purchase orders, material lists, manpower requirements, lodging, and transportationHandle all safety issuesConduct pre-job safety analysis of each projectMonitor job costs against original estimates, budgets and change ordersManage project closeouts and ensure warranty documents are requested and receivedExecute contracts with subcontractorsMonth end WIP report and cost to complete reportKnowledge, Skills & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree a plus (Construction Management)Minimum four (4) years of commercial roofing or construction industry experience.Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, follow-through, priority setting, and a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks.Strong attention to detail.Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Must have a valid driver's licenseAble to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortable visiting actual job sites about 50% of the time (without fear of heights)Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with associates.Knowledge of business and management principlesFamiliarity with project management software.Extensive knowledge of roofing materials, techniques and requirementsRoof Services & Solutions, a Tecta America Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, etc
