Groundworks is seeking a talented SEO Content Manager  to join our tribe in Virginia Beach, VA

The SEO Content Manager will oversee a team of 4-5 Content Writers and is responsible for all content-related SEO efforts across Groundworks 20+ brands.

Job Responsibilities

CONTENT STRATEGY: Implement a content marketing strategy and an editorial calendar that delivers consistent, high-quality content across channels.

CONTENT PRODUCTION: Create and manage full-funnel, multi-format content (core website content, blogs, white papers, surveys, and infographics) for integrated marketing campaigns aligned to target personas and buying stages.

CONTENT QUALITY: Conduct quality assurance for all content produced by the Content team.

CONTENT OPTIMIZATION: Ensure content is optimized for SEO and AI discovery against target keywords.

CONTENT DISTRIBUTION: Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to create sponsored content, video scripts, and social editorial calendars.

CUSTOMER STORIES: Partner with the Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams to amplify customer experiences through testimonials and case studies.

PERFORMANCE REPORTING: Regularly monitor, interpret, and report on content performance and related KPIs to identify opportunities and learnings.

INNOVATION AND EXPERIMENTATION: Constantly evaluate new tools, platforms, and processes, including tools like ChatGPT, Notion, and Nozzle to drive efficiencies and enhance content output.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in an SEO content, editorial, and/or project management role (Sr. SEO Content Writer, Sr. SEO Specialist, SEO Manager, Managing Editor, Project Manager, or equivalent)

Proven track record of developing and executing engaging content that successfully captures target audiences.

Effective communicator and collaborator with excellent writing, presenting, editing, and proofreading skills.

Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to derive actionable insights from data.

Experience managing freelance writing resources.

Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization. Experience using SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, GA4) and conducting keyword research to build content briefs.

Proficiency in WordPress. Airtable and Asana experience is a plus.

Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and work quickly and effectively under pressure. You enjoy a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment and you're able to proactively manage your own workload and balance several projects concurrently.

Proven ability to effectively collaborate with marketing colleagues and creatives to develop compelling content, including clearly and graciously communicating and receiving feedback.
