JOB SUMMARY:Assists with all race marketing administrative, advertising, public relations and promotions and event planning along with customer service duties as assigned.DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: NONEKEY JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintain and facilitate all daily, promotional handicapping and racing contests and work via Club Centaur rewards and Mutuels departments.Planning, implementation and follow-up on marketing initiatives for all racing events and community functions Facilitate First Turn Stables and fractional ownership programCoordinate marketing projects by completing creative requests, inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying delivery of collateral piecesDevelop Race Marketing Agendas and Productions schedules for the nightly production Supervise and guide race marketing internsPrepare press releases for racing eventsAssist with media relations as they pertain to the racing mediaMaintain daily race marketing budget and track promotional contests/maintain customer databases Broadcast on racing simulcast signal as neededPerform routine tasks of the department as directed by the ManagerSupport Advertising and Creative team with implementation of advertising communication strategies. Support Promotions/Events team with implementation of marketing programsSupport Club Centaur and VIP Managers with implementation of Club and VIP marketing programs. Support and assist Race Marketing Manager with all race related programsAssists in the maintenance of departmental files.Coordinate with outside agencies, in-house design team, and production houses to create, produce, distribute and track all advertising materials on deadline and in budget.Support marketing objectives by assisting with the development of brand-centric and visually stimulating graphics, as well as clear and compelling copy.Require ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, creativity, and a keen eye for detail. Ability to multi-taskKeen eye for detailExcel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)Strong fiscal acumenDisplay professionalism and maintain professional appearance Performs all other duties as assignedEDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree (B. in Marketing from four-year college or university or equivalent. One – two years marketing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
