Overview As an Engineering Geologist Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be responsible for managing current clients and developing new business, as well as managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and providing senior direction on a variety of projects. You'll main responsibilities will include:Conduct and/oversee geological and geotechnical site investigations to assess ground conditionsAnalyze soil, rock, groundwater, and other geologic data to determine their impact on engineering projectsPrepare geological maps, cross-sections, and reports for project planning and designAdvise on the suitability of sites for various construction projects based on geological findingsDevelop risk assessments related to geological hazards like landslides, earthquakes, and subsidenceMonitor and interpret data from field investigations and laboratory testsConduct environmental impact assessments and provide geotechnical recommendationsCollaborate with engineers, architects, and planners to incorporate geological data into project designsReview and interpret geological data for planning and environmental complianceMaintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in geological engineering and geologyThe pay range for this position is between $65,000-143,000+ based on experience and location (in addition, CEC offers overtime pay and other great benefits). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related fieldProfessional Geologist (PG) or Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) licenseExtensive field experience in geotechnical investigations and analysisProficiency in geological modeling software and GIS applications, preferredExperience with environmental impact assessments and remediation projectsStrong background in soil mechanics and hydrogeologyFamiliarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standardsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in geological or geotechnical engineeringStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamWillingness to travel and conduct fieldwork in various environmentsKnowledge of engineering principles and construction practices About Us We have experts CEC is consistently ranked as a Top 500 Design Firm and Top 200 Environmental Firm by Engineering News-Record.
