The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled Robotics Technicians. Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on robotic cells. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software malfunctions in robots. Repair or replace faulty robotic components and peripheral equipment. Program and teach new robot paths, waypoints, and operational sequences. Optimize robot performance for production efficiency and accuracy. Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications. Ensure all robotic operations comply with safety standards and protocols. Recommended Qualifications Associate's degree or technical certification in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation. Proven experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing robotic systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components. Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics. Basic to intermediate robot programming and teach pendant operation skills. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their interface with robotic cells. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence). Proficiency in programming languages like Python or C++ for advanced robot control or data acquisition. Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet). Experience with CAD software or robot simulation tools.
