The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Montague region seeking Controllers. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and timely reporting. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, management reports, and production profitability analyses. Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Manage cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Support year-end audit activities and provide necessary documentation to external auditors. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis specific to manufacturing operations. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting, with experience in process improvement and internal controls. Proven ability to partner with operations, drive financial performance, and lead a finance team. Bonus Qualifications Deep experience with ERP system implementation or optimization in a manufacturing environment (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O). Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for advanced data visualization and reporting. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex financial models for forecasting and scenario planning.
