Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCandidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview.This leadership role is critical for managing financial risk and optimizing cash flow across all company brands. The Head of Credit and Collections will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for customer credit policies and debt collection operations. This involves overseeing team development, managing external vendor relationships, and leveraging technology to ensure effective and compliant financial health management.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop teams overseeing all facets of customer credit, collections, and bad debt for all EchoStar brands (DISH, Sling, Boost)Develop, implement, and govern credit policy strategy to manage customer credit risk and acquisition rulesManage and optimize the relationship with third-party collection agencies and credit vendors, including vendor selection, performance monitoring, and contract negotiationDesign and implement internal procedures to manage customer delinquency, account suspension, and debt collection activities effectivelyManage and govern policies that support customer credit screening, collections offers, and debt arrangement plansSupport and manage departmental budgets related to credit risk and collections operationsCollaborate with technical partners to identify, propose, and implement strategic improvements to the various collections and credit risk management systems Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, and at least 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience7+ years of leadership or supervisory experienceExperience with vendor relationships and management, process improvement, credit, delinquency, collections or bankruptcy; experience in the telecom, wireless, and/or the financial industry is a plusSkills and Qualifications:Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in complex credit risk and collectionsDemonstrated experience leading projects efficiently from conception through executionStrong executive presence and ability to communicate persuasively across all audience levels including senior leadershipDeep knowledge of credit policy strategy and modeling minimizing risk while maximizing acquisitionExtensive experience in collections vendor management and familiarity with regulatory compliance like FCRA FDCPAExtensive experience analyzing complex credit risk and collections data to drive effective strategiesAbility to identify potential business risks and offer well-thought-out solutionsHighly motivated, collaborative and organized with strong work ethic, integrity and ability to meet deadlinesAdvanced skill and experience with Microsoft Office and Google SuiteWillingness to travel to collection partners up to 50%Visa sponsorship not available for this role Salary RangesCompensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year BenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: .The base pay range shown is a guideline.
