Job DetailsDescription *We are offering a $1,250 SIGN-ON BONUS for this position* Job Summary: The Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on treating and splinting hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent, adult and geriatric orthopedic population.  Hours per Week: 18 Essential Duties:  Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic, including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics. Provides evaluations, treatments, and goal setting for patients. Performs custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints/orthoses. Evaluates and documents patients' progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits. Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members to optimize patients' care plans. Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities. Participates in staff in-services, monthly rounds and research. Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements. Engages in hand therapist duties in a timely, empathetic manner with patients that maximizes patient understanding and adherence to therapy programs. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
