They ensure that our mechanics and technicians are equipped and prepared to maintain and repair our fleet of school buses. Your responsibilities will include:Supervising and supporting the shop staff, including mechanics and techniciansScheduling and assigning maintenance and repair tasksEnsuring safety and compliance with all DOT and company standardsMaintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspectionsManaging parts inventory and equipment for efficient shop operationsYou might be a fit for our Shop Supervisor role if:You have 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within an automotive, diesel, or fleet maintenance environmentYou have a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one with our support)You possess strong organizational, leadership, and communication skillsYou are experienced in managing a team of mechanics or techniciansYou are committed to safety and compliance standardsYou are proficient in the use of maintenance software for scheduling and record-keepingFirst Student encourages applications from candidates who:Have military experienceAre returning to the workforceAre looking for hourly (not flat-rate) jobs
