Launched in September 2023, our newest location in Silver Spring, MD, is home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers is building our adolescent, and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.At the core of Compass we believe in the power of community and connection, which is why we are committed to our group-based programming. As an Adult Group Therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. If you are seeking an opportunity to provide exceptional care, we'd love to have you on our team.This role will work with patients aged 18+ Mood & Anxiety Program, while also offering the opportunity to be cross-trained within our Adult specialty programs and services: Trauma, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Mental Health and Substance Use. What You'll Do: Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieuDeveloping effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patientsUtilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as other evidenced-based therapiesRelaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and throughout the program day as neededLearning and implementing the Compass group curriculum especially to address patient needsEngaging in crisis management, as neededCharting in our electronic medical records systemParticipating in professional development activitiesThis position may also include meeting with patients individually or with family membersOther duties as needed Who You Are: Are passionate about facilitating group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with othersAre a Psychologist or Master's level therapistHave prior experience or interest in working with patients of varying diagnoses including Mood & Anxiety, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Trauma, Mental Health and Substance UseHold the following licenses or education: LSW (or LSW eligible), LPC (or LPC eligible), LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, or PhDPossess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skillsHave prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)Benefits & Perks
