Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Mid-Level and Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyWe are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Mid-Level and Senior) to join The Boeing Company in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) division, located in Portland, OR the beautiful greater pacific northwest.This role is critical in ensuring the health and safety of our workforce while promoting environmental stewardship across our diverse range of commercial aircraft, including the 737, 767, and 777 operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the successful applicant will help drive initiatives that minimize environmental impact and enhance workplace safety, contributing to Boeing's commitment to a sustainable future in aviation.Position Responsibilities:Develops, implements and supervises occupational heath and safety programs and processesDevelops and provides training and instructionsEvaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operationsDevelops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspectionsPlans and conducts health and safety auditsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment3+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)3+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing auditsExperience developing and implementing process improvementsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with addressing occupational health and safety hazards related to aircraft flight and ground operations (Renton, Seattle, Everett and Tukwila sites)Experience with aircraft systemsExperience with hazardous energy control programsDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
