WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLEThe QA Technician will carry out with limited supervision, quality analysis and control for production of shortcut, cello, food service, and other products. Daily audits of QA technicians’ procedures include verification of code dates, scales, water levels, plant GMP’s, FSMA & HACCP, and documentation.Sample collection, operation of scales, data entry.Grading defects of carrots.Analytical testing of raw and finished products as well as processing water and equipment.Operate and maintain equipment (scales, thermometers, hydrocooler monitors, etc.) routinely.Compare test results to quality specifications and limits, notify quality and production leadership in a timely manner when results are out of specification.Careful and neat work habits and willingness to perform more modest tasks (cleaning working area and tools, ordering supplies etc.).Complete environmental monitoring, equipment swabbing, and inspections of production and QA/QC documents as directed. Perform other duties as assigned.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORRequired Skills and Abilities:Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.Must be reliable, responsible, dependable, and be able to fulfill obligations.Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.Work as a team and follow instructions.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceProven, reliable, work historyPreferred Qualifications:Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish) PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Environmental exposure –cold/wet conditions (40 ° or below).Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.Material exposure-moving mechanical parts.Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, using 3-point contact on a regular basis when assigned to perform work duties.Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time during the work periodRegularly required to stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or climb steps.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.HOURS & WORKDAYS:2nd Shift (4:30pm-4:30am) Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs.
