Automation Engineer | Whitehall, MI Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding opportunity in {{role_field}}? Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes. Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial robots. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated equipment and control systems. Optimize existing automation systems for improved efficiency, quality, and throughput. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams on automation projects. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems and procedures. Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Recommended Qualifications Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and troubleshooting. Proficiency in HMI/SCADA system design, development, and integration. Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP). Experience with industrial robotics, motion control systems, or servo drives. Knowledge of industrial sensors, actuators, and instrumentation. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex automation system issues in a manufacturing environment. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced robotics, machine vision, or complex material handling systems. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated ability to integrate operational technology (OT) data with enterprise IT systems or cloud platforms. Certification or experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity best practices.
