Lead Infant Teacher

This role includes developing age-appropriate curriculum, ensuring health and safety compliance, and fostering strong communication with families. The Lead Teacher serves as a role model for assistant teachers and works collaboratively with the center leadership to promote high-quality early childhood education.Key Responsibilities: Classroom Leadership: Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development. Create a warm, responsive, and respectful classroom environment. Guide and support assistant teachers in daily routines and interactions. Infant Care: Provide consistent, nurturing care including feeding, diapering, napping, and individualized attention. Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate progress to parents. Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom in accordance with licensing regulations and center policies. Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including diapering, sanitizing, and safe sleep practices. Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with families through daily communication, conferences, and progress updates. Address parent concerns with professionalism and empathy. Team Collaboration: Serve as a mentor and leader within the classroom team. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and center events. Qualifications: Minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) credential; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in an infant classroom. Strong understanding of infant development and early learning principles. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with infant care.
