This role contributes to the success of the company by being responsible for order selection of any sales order, packing any sales orders, and assisting with container offloading. The DC Associate supports our vision by being dedicated and committed to versatility and excellence in all we produce.Additional Information:This is a permanent full-time hourly position at $16.00 hourlyFull-Time schedule is Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PMOur distribution center is located at 3151 Northwest 125th St. Miami, FL 33167This position is based in a warehouse environment, where teamwork and efficiency are essentialFOH, Inc® is an Equal Opportunity Employer and proud to be Drug and Smoke-Free WorkplaceMajor Duties Include:Picking & Packing:Accurately picks orders for shipment and assembles various types of merchandise to be shipped as assignedAchieves productivity by picking and packing minimum as the continue ongoing training Scans orders via a hand-held scanner and packs& processes all transactions  Removes defective products or materials, placing them in designated areas for proper processing Loads the completed sale orders into designated areas for packing Examines and inspects containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met Communicate with Order Fulfillment leader if any important or rush orders will not meet deadlines for picking and packing Other Duties:Assists with container off loading and any other warehouse duties as neededMaintains a clean and safe work environment in assigned aisles or areas Contributes to department teamwork by demonstrating strong time and attendance records, especially during month-end Records personal daily punches and approves accurate bi-weekly time and attendance records Actively participates in all one-on-one and group meetings Performs other duties as assigned Promotes our FOH® Culture in all interactionsEducation, Experience & Computer Skills:Minimum of 1+ year' experience in a warehouse setting, picking or packing ordersExperience with Warehouse Management Systems and handheld devices Must be able to tolerate working in a high-heat environmentBasic understanding of computer programsSkills Needed for Success:Follows direction and works under pressure to meet deadlines Stress and time management skills Analytical, creative, practical problem-solving skills  Customer service and interpersonal skills  Communicate with clarity verbally Work collaboratively and as part of a diverse team  Small project management skills and strong attention to detail Desired Characteristics & Qualifications:Organized, action and detail oriented Demonstrates sound work ethics Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity Ability to re-arrange tasks as properties change Highly enthusiastic, positive-minded, and composure in changing situations Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this role, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The team member frequently is required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The team member is frequently required to sit; The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Team Members may also need to pull or push 800lbs pallet jacks.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
