If the answer is yes, apply below Pharmacy technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, help the pharmacists provide medication and other health care products to patients and consumers. Technicians usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles.Qualifications:Registered with the Missouri Board of PharmacyPossesses strong communication skillsMust be compassionate and patient attentiveExcellent customer service skillsMust be proficient with basic computer skillsProvides teamwork and positive oriented attitude and flexibilityAbility to multi-task in a fast paced environmentHighly reliablePharmacy technician experience preferredResponsibilities:Accepting new prescriptions from patientsAccepting new prescriptions orally from physician officesCall physician offices for prescription renewals, documenting all responsesPrescription data entryResolution of reimbursement issuesPrescription and controlled substance bottle fillingSimple routine compoundingLabeling of prescriptionsPerpetual inventory ordering, receiving and reviewPricing merchandiseReviewing medication expiration datesPerform high standard of customer servicePerforms other duties as assignedPhysical Demands:The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hearThe employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipmentThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 poundsSpecific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.Other ResponsibilitiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
