We bring innovative, exciting, and sustainable ideas to life.?We have opportunities around the world for you to contribute to advancements in autonomy, electrification, smart mobility technologies, and more In this position... The Steering Wheel & Driver Airbag Restraints D&R Engineer is responsible for the design and release of restraints components and systems for new and current vehicles including:Managing project timing, releasing drawings and engineering specifications.Creating specific FMA Documents, DVP&R, and quality documents.Part delivery on time for each program milestone.Tracking of supplier’s deliverables.Focus Commodities include Steering Wheels and Driver Airbags. Potential support for Seatbelts, Airbags, Buckles, Height Adjusters, etc. You'll have...Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or Equivalent.3+ years of experience working as a design and release Engineer for Restraints Commodities, preferably with steering wheel and driver airbag restraints. Even better, you may have...Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or Equivalent.  Preferred candidates should possess demonstrated experience in steering wheel design, including proficiency with studio interface tools.Working knowledge of Regulatory and Public Domain Requirements including but not limited to FMVSS, IIHS, etc.Working Knowledge of simulation and testing methodologies for restraints and safety systems.Good program management skills with the ability to manage several assignments simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.Significant problem-solving skills demonstrated previously.Knowledge of Manufacturing and Assembly operations.
