Department is hiring a Full-Time Quality Improvement Analyst. The Quality Improvement Analyst acts as an internal consultant who maintains, reports, and updates quality improvement (QI) data for quality indicators consisting of clinical, statistical, and financial data. Analyze data, verify statistical performance and make recommendations towards actions to support improved outcomes. Facilitate councils and action groups for performance improvement outcomes. Salary Range: $62,400 - $104,020.80 / year Schedule: Full-Time Days, 7:30am to 4:00pm (No weekends/holidays). This position is fully on-site, not remote. Quality Improvement Analyst Responsibilities: Cultivates a work climate supportive of the Hospital’s mission, vision and values through transformational leadership. Commits to a customer service oriented culture within his/her area which includes service orientation to work processes, staff customers service and actively participates and supports development of key customer service outcomes. Coordinates and performs analysis of statistical and clinical information and patterns for key performance indicators as required by Administration, Service Line Directors, and Performance Improvement Councils. Provides oversight responsibilities for all data drill-downs. Facilitates, organizes and participates on various hospital performance improvement councils and action groups to areas of expertise. Guides Performance Improvement Councils on interpretation and actions related to performance improvement outcomes. Gains an understanding of and maintains ability to access and utilize the hospital computer systems and reports. Utilizes Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) tools and techniques, including statistical process control (SPC). Assists with the case identification for the event review process and those occurrences that may ultimately require reporting to the New York State Department of Health Patient Occurrence Reporting and Tracking Systems (NYPORTS). Provides expertise in meeting accreditation and regulatory compliance. Duties include case identification, data abstraction and data entry. Research, compose, review and track action items for root cause analyses and long forms submitted to the NYS DOH via NYPORTS. Assists the Chiefs of Clinical Services in peer review process through analyzing historical data including chart review. Maintains confidentiality and security when dealing with clinical, service, and cost information as it pertains to an individual or the organization as a whole. Assumes other duties as assigned by department leadership. Requirements: Associates degree in Applied Science or health-related field required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) Training in Lean Six Sigma or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
