Marcum LLP is seeking a Staff Accountant in to join our growing and well established national firm in Saddle Brook, NJ. Responsibilities An Assurance Staff Accountant in our Real Estate Group will become involved with all aspects of accounting and auditing for Real Estate entities (i.e. Hotels, Residential, Commercial, Property Management Co’s). You will work with the audit team in performing detailed verification procedures necessary to perform audits of clients’ financial statements. These verification procedures normally include: Cash and mortgage confirmations Cash analysis Fixed asset additions and retirements Income and expense analysis Analytical review procedures A Staff Accountant will also be expected to perform the following: Walkthroughs and control testing Input trial balances Assist in preparing work paper Involvement in audit planning Qualifications BS/BBA in Accounting Must be eligible to sit for the CPA Exam (150 Credits required) Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
