Catalina Springs Memory Care - Medication Technician - Memory CareFrontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Medication Technician for Catalina Springs Memory Care community located in Oro Valley, Arizona.This position requires that all candidates are Certified Caregivers in the state of Arizona (Caregiver Certificate in Supervisory, Personal, and Directed Care). This position requires legible, accurate documentation on the medication record and in the resident chart. The Medication Technician position requires a responsible demeanor, caring nature and ability to contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Administers the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocolMaintains confidentiality of resident and fellow employee’s informationNotifies Resident Care Coordinator /Executive Director/RN of resident changes of conditionAssists with monthly medication records as neededMaintains the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cartHas knowledge of, and can demonstrate proper technique, or can learn how to assist with: a gait belt, sit to stand lift, transfer board, oxygen equipment, C-Pap, Nebulizer, catheter, specimen, transfer pole, trapeze, wheelchair, scale, and other equipment as directed by the Resident Care Coordinator /RNCapable of taking accurate vital signs and weightsFill-in for the receptionist as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care CoordinatorFill in for a caregiver when neededCapable of assisting in care needs of residents, which might include lifting requirements up to 40 poundsWork as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director/ Resident Care CoordinatorKeep current on First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration skillsPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff Other Requirements:High school graduate preferredProficiency in English requiredAttends in-services monthly required for positionHas familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population.
