In this role, you will be responsible for providing proactive and practical legal advice on all aspects of employment law and human resources matters affecting Hyatt’s hotel and corporate operations. You will manage a broad range of employment litigation and claims. You enjoy working with others, are results-driven, and are looking for a variety of opportunities to develop personally and professionally.The Role•Advise HR, management, and operations teams on employment-related issues, including hiring, discipline, terminations, wage and hour compliance, accommodations, discrimination, and workplace investigations.•Draft, review, and update employment agreements, policies, and handbooks to ensure compliance with evolving laws and best practices.•Partner with internal stakeholders on the development and implementation of employment-related programs, initiatives, and training.•Manage and oversee employment litigation and administrative charges, working closely with outside counsel.•Monitor and analyze developments in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.•Support compliance and ethics initiatives, including investigations and audits.Qualifications•5+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate law department of national reputation, with a focus on employment litigation and/or counseling.•A Juris Doctorate and license to practice in a jurisdiction within the United States.•Demonstrated track record of taking accountability for outcomes.•Ability to influence stakeholders through strong communication skills and credible legal advice.•Brings a proactive mindset and thoughtful preparation to their work, fostering trust and confidence across teams.•High level of integrity and professional ethics.•Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.•Team player with strong interpersonal skills who can build connections with people at all levels.•This is a hybrid role.
