The current locations for which we are seeking CAT Claim Reps are located in the job posting.*Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated experienced Claims professional to join our team. The position requires the person to:Be available for frequent travel up to 21 days at a time. Travel is required upon short notice to location of catastrophe, which would most likely be out of state.Meet the physical demands required for the position including carrying and climbing a ladder.Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, analyze legal liability and pay or deny losses. Be familiar with insurance coverage by studying insurance policies, endorsements, and forms. Work towards the resolution of claims, possibly attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.Desired Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years claims handling experience or comparable experienceField claims experience with multi-line property and casualty claims and wind/hailProficient with Xactimate softwareAbove average communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to resolve complex issuesOrganize and interpret dataAbility to handle multiple assignmentsPossess a valid driver’s licenseMilitary experience is consideredBenefitsAuto-Owners offers a wide range of career opportunities, and we are seeking talent that will help us continue our long tradition of success.
